
MINUTES OF FLEA MOSS PIT COMMITTEE MEETING HELD AT THE VILLAGE HALL, NORLEY ROAD, CUDDINGTON ON THUSDAY 17th NOVEMBER AT 7PM.

1. Apologies. Cllr’s Jones.
2. Declaration of interest. Cllr Nixon declared a personal interest in Flea Moss Pit.
3. Ground Gas Survey on Flea Moss Pit. The Chairman reported that costs received
from RSK relating to a Ground Gas Spiking survey would be £460.00 (exc.VAT) and £285.00
(exc. VAT) for continued ground gas monitoring in existing wells. The survey would
be completed using a hand held soil “spike” to make soils depths of up to 1.0m.
Depending
on the results of the ground gas spiking survey, additional monitoring work may not
be necessary.

a) Advice
is sought from Mr Martin Wright -
4. Future of Flea Moss Pit. The Committee agreed that it is highly likely that allotments will be provided on Eden Grange, and therefore the committee recommend to full Council that:
a) The Council no longer look into the possibility of creating allotments at Flea
Moss Pit.
b) The Council look into the option of creating a residential development
on Flea Moss Pit, preferably for the elderly.
c) Approach Cllr Grimshaw to seek how
to move forward with item 4b, including the strip of land at Flea Moss Pit.
d) Request
confirmation from Taylor Wimpey what funding is available in place of the community
building.
e) Request confirmation from Taylor Wimpey what provisions there will be provided relating to the proposed allotments i.e, Fencing, water points, a suitable pathway, and a toilet.
